A Lesson Learned |

This was written to the most amazing woman and person I have ever known. I hope she enjoys it but I wanted everyone else to get a glimpse of her. A Lesson Learned How does she love me still despite the flaws That find two wounded souls now newly scarred? How can her faith continue without pause In one whose views of truth seem sadly marred? I'll never know her source of constancy, Or understand her will to persevere. She simply loves with open urgency And copes through waterfalls of painful tears. How soon until I realize I'm blessed And grow into the man she sorely needs? To calm and soothe a life so daily stressed And heal a heart that so unfairly bleeds. When pure unselfish love is last discerned Its sanctity will be a lesson learned. [This message has been edited by David2 (edited 11-11-2001).] |

*sigh* absolutely beautiful. You should present this poem to her with flowers. Your heart pours out of your pen not with ink but with all the love you hold for her. Thank you for sharing a vision of that love with me today. Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

Nice to see you and another of your great sonnets, David... She's equally as fortunate as you to have such a great relationship... |

It sounds to me like you already know you're blessed. Hold tight to that lady. She sounds like a keeper for sure. If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |

I agree with Startime--you should definately gift her with this poem. It's perfect. It's beautiful. And a lesson well learned, I know now. Don't let go of the feeling, don't learn your lesson too late too. Good job! Carrie [fontcolor=red]Go ahead, push your luck; find out how much love the world can hold[/font] |
