A Message:

I have tried to express to you
in words of heart and more.
I've tried to feel the depth of you,
as always tried before.

But even after words of hope
and calming wants to leave,
I rise upon the blue this morn
with sighs that sigh and heave.

I'm tired and can't reason this,
I'm stressed without the care.
I'm done for now and want a life
that really touches "share".

An after thought of yesterday
when tears, hurt did subside,
today is just the same again.
I've tried, I've tried, I've tried.

So this is not a warning, though
it's truth, I must confess.
I'm quiet now because it seems
I've lost it, in excess.

Someone will take this poem wrong,
but you know what I mean.
I'm off to date the world in whole
and leave this "in between."

It shouldn't take me very long,
replacing  emptiness.
I'll read THE BOOK, and live in hope,
my life to reassess.

~Wynter

I enjoyed reading this, Wynter, for even in its melancholy air it has the scent of moving forward with strength and resolve. Enjoy your book.

Well, hon, I have to confess I didn't understand it fully but if it made YOU feel better, hey, that's all that counts!

We all need those periods in our lives to reassess things. I wish you well on your journey, Maureen.

Noah...I sure wish I had your attitude..it's so nice to be young and idealistic...hold onto these thoughts as long as you can.

Midnitesun...oh I think I meant the Book of Job...and I guess  it's more resolve than strength at the moment.Thank You

Kathleen...I knew you probably wouldn't as  others won't either..I guess I was giving myself a pep talk of sorts..a message to myself... telling me there is a  big world out there and I am sure somewhere there is someone who wants in life the same things as I do..and it may be time now to start finding out if that is so.

Denise..I have already been on my journey, now is the time to settle in and live it for real...Reassessments well...it's like a daily list of to do's for me and they change daily and some still linger...it's those I am reassessing.

thank you
