Weary trek on a path of love
A thousand miles walked
on narrow steps worn smooth
Unsteady in search of warmth.

My life has experienced much.
heartaches, pain, uncertainty
Loneliness, rejection, loss...
Anger and hurtful harsh words.

My eyes have seen tears fall
Have wept drops of heartache
Have seen small sad hurt faces
Shimmering happy faces  too

A heart has once been void of love
The void filled with deep despair.
Lingering love guarding eternal
as shielding words are again felt

This thousand miles have taught
this man to love with empathy
Feelings from his deepest part
expressed  freely and equally.

Learning to have compassion.
A gentle touch, a caring mind.
A warm embrace, a tender kiss.
Knowing love again will find.

My songs once sad and alone
now sung pure and with joy.
Eyes which once saw hate, lust
now try to see kindness, intimacy

That narrow path has widened
as feet walk steadily and true.
Maturity becomes enlightened
with my ever growing love of you.

*sigh* a mature understanding of what true love is really meant to be. I am still on my search...... maybe someday he will find me. Very well done, my friend.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
