Surprise

New furniture stood on display
Dark and somber heavy in weigh
Tilting the room in awkward feel
It had no life of or sex appeal.

She brooded for at least an hour
It was missing esthetic power
She hung one of my pictures back
The room did light but still it lack.

Up went one more then another
She asked more and more to cover
A light sprang back into her eyes
The room was warm to her surprise.

Said your pictures are like helium
They lift the dark away the glum
I did not know till they were gone
How much of me they set upon.

Without them it would never do
I guess they are apart of you.

me

You're the hidden cost and the thing that's lost in everything I do.
In the sunlight, in the shadows ...
No ... I'll never stop looking for you.

as in these forums, so like your rooms
your words lift hearts, dispel all gloom
so like your art, shall you place your thoughts
so poets may read, that which is wrought

In Sunday morning's great surprise
I see the twinkle in your eyes...

Yaaaay. You got your pictures back!!! Pictures do add so much warmth to a room. I have tons of framed prints around my house, and I love each and every last one of them, and can tell you where they all came from. I wish I could paint my own, but, alas, that talent escapes me. I do so admire those who can though

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

My dear friends, since I am so tired of moving furniture and hanging pictures I can only thank you as a group. You are as dear to me as my poems and paintings. And I thank you all for being part of my life. *L*
