Soul Mates

Joined together in heart and soul
to earth as two they are now sent
Linked eternally together
left alone they can feel the rent

Arms now linked in eternal love
flowing gracefully in loves' dance
To earth they have come yet unknown
to find each other, take the chance

Reaching out in eternal search
for the greatest treasure on earth
Looking through all their pain and fear
a search began at human birth

Before there was a beginning
when sun, moon and stars weren't in place
When time had not begun to flow
before there was a human race

These two fused together as one
deep within the core of their soul
Sent to this place now known as earth
to learn and teach that was their goal

Soul Mates who are the purest form
searching for the one to make them whole
That forever they now be sealed
as what was two will yet be one

Known only in each other's hearts
they’ll search the earth until they find
The mate they chose before all time
who joins body, soul, heart and mind

Karen; I did so enjoy reading this poem.  After being married for 42 years, I believe I can honestly say, "I have married my soul mate."  I feel blessed to be able to say that.  I do wish that for you, my dear.  Wanda

Lovely Karen!  Some great thoughts here. Wasn't going to post anymore today, as my 2000th post is coming up and I want to hold off until tomorrow, but it is sooo hard to wait!
Especially with all this great writing!

Karen, this is really beautiful, and rings a crystal bell for me.
I have another Soul Mate poem I read regularly, written by someone very special. His poem always affects me in such a way that it's beyond my ability to even utter a response beyond a sigh.

Now, slowly falling back to Earth,
Jaime prays for healing sleep,
and warm and golden dreams
of worldly and celestial love,
that fills hjis heart with piece ...
peace ...
Bless you, Staretime,
Bless you!

Karen, our Star... you have a soul mate now.
Me...cause I surely love your poetry...

Seriously...I hope you find one that is
the half you wish to have in your life
as your soulmate...

Karen, I love the tale you've woven of the soul mates and their journey here on earth.  They are out there, I believe.  We just have to keep searching until we find them.  Nicely done!
