Land of Never-ending Summers

0 posted 2001-11-10 08:13 AM

It has been days
The rain keeps falling
In slates of heavy downpour
In sprinkles of shower passing

Heaven must know how I feel
The persistant ache in my heart
Coz the skies are crying
The tears I am holding back so hard

I feel so weak and tired
From giving so much
I know not what to do now
Coz my heart has been ripped apart

I just want to hide and sleep
Never again coming awake
Unless there should be a happy ending
Else I'd rather be nailed and staked

*sigh*
Sorry for writing another sad pathetic one
This is just how down I'm feeling lately
Hopefully, one fine happy day I'd look back at the these sad pieces and smile at the memories
But now, the pain is just too much

Ah, Cherie, sadness is also allowed here, as poets draw their inspiration from life, and life is not always happy. It helps to express the words that are spilling from the heart like this rain is spilling in your writing.  I, for one, can identify with this one, and also know that the sun will shine for you once more......believe me......

The road goes on forever, the stories never end, and people are the same the world over!

Mon Cherie,

Don't ever apologize for expressing your feelings.  For many here writing the pain is the best way to deal with hurt that haunts you.  Keep writing it out... It will get better. I hope that time comes soon for you.

Warm hugs,
Tara

The rain is a very soothing element of life ..
let it wash your pain away.
It may seem like a monsoon, but in the end
life is always restored and fresh.
As you write it out before you,
you will feel its release.

This is an excellent example!!
Keep it coming!!

I know how this one feels.  Hang in there, it will get better with time.

Hi Sweetie,

Just know that you are never alone and you have many friends here who care about you!
Those gray skies will soon be baby blue again for you with bright colored balloons floating and a warm inviting sun!
Keep your head up!

Love,
RP

A good expression of sadness, Mon Cherie.
A sunny day will come again, maybe as early as tomorrow.

Cherie,
i will prefer it if you don't add a footnote at the end of your musing..a poem should be able to stand on its own..and this one did, without any need for further explanations...

Thanks everyone for the show of support. Though I'm still feeling   at times, I'm not reduced to tears all the time now.

Irish Rose & faterider:
Thanks for the advice. I can't edit my poem now, but I'll remember when I work on the others.
