~*~ Life's Little Miracles ~*~

I looked down and electricity ran through me.
How delicate, shiny and new.
Was there ever a smell like this,
in all of Heaven's creation?
How perfectly formed her tiny fingers,
rolled into little balls of resentment.
She had been forced to leave the only place
known as home until today.
The safe, serene, warm haven of Mother's womb.

I can do nothing but gaze at her in awe.
How beautifully soft and adorable she is.
How genetically perfect her features are.
Not unlike her sister, she too will strut her stuff!
As I hold her, I have no words for the feeling.
Like love's first kiss, a blind date,
being shown an engagement ring, well perhaps,
but the intensity of the feelings go beyond
your heart and take residence in your soul.
Tears of joy escape my eyes in wonder.

I wondered if I had enough love left for her.
Could I share the love I felt so deeply for her sister?
But instantly, like the miracle of her being,
magically the love inside my heart doubled,
to the point I was overwhelmed and overflowing.
I held her and my breath actually stopped,
as I felt my heart almost burst in my chest.
Today we were blessed with one of life's little miracles!

~*~ For Natasha - Happy Birthday ~*~

I am just too overwhelmed with joy to write anything really poetic right now, but wanted to share that I am now the proud grandmother to a second grandchild.  Her name is Natasha Marie, born, November 8, 2001, 8:10 p.m., 9 lbs., 7 ozs. and she is absolutely beautiful.

I'm grinning here - picturing those very poetic "little balls of resentment" clenched in your arms - and the exponential multiplicity of love... Congratulations, Grandma...

Sharon....you don't have to be poetic...
The love that you have is so well spoken of.

I know this love,  this overwhelming moment.
For I have two...Timothy and Ashley who gave
me that same feeling the day they were born.
And they continue to give me that feeling
each day of our lives....Being a Grand is
such a warm feeling....Congratulations.

I join you in your lovely song of welcome for Natasha, and send her hugs and kisses from her auntie in Texas.  I had no doubts that you would find the love in that heart of yours to be more than an abdundant share to pass along to the new little angel, and I know it will only be a matter of time before two little hands are clutching each side of grandma touring the shops to purchase frilly little dresses and hats and shoes...~*~smiles~*~ (they never can have enough of those, yanno...and they MUST have one of everything in EACH COLOR) ~*~winks~*~
Welcome, little angel...and may life find all of your hopes, dreams and wishes coming true.
Hugs and much love, always, ~*~dawn~*~

Congradulations Grandma..Not one myself yet.. have many many many years before I have to see that, but remember the softness of a newborn baby's trust and love.. ahh.. I think I'll go kiss my kids.. well.. maybe not.. 10 year old boys seldom wanna kiss their mommy anymore.. giggle

Remember me with a smile on your face, or please don't remember me at all.

CONGRADULATIONS Shsron on your new grandbaby!
I don't think you ever had anything to worry about, when it comes to loving the new one. You'll always have plenty of love for both of them.
