In the midst
of the conversation,
you suddenly asked
which course
i was enrolled in.
I was flabbergasted

Of course,
there are various facets
of my personality
and i can't expect you
to understand all of me

Couldn't help
feeling disappointed
that you don't remember
something so elementary
Couldn't help
feeling disgusted
at the way
I inevitably
judge my friends
by such mundane yardsticks

Yep. You judge with the measure of your own mind. Damned annoying, ain't it?

sigh...loved this for the wisdom here.

I've looked into that mirror before, and didn't like the reflection.
I like the way you write, with such blatent open honesty.

Even though it may hurt to look at our shortcomings it is good to focus on oneselve and not so much on others because we can only change ourselves and as you say become a better person for it..James

I think we've all done this at one time or another.  You pour your heart out only to discover they haven't heard a thing you've said!  The truest friends will remember every detail.

All writing comes
by the grace of God.
