My Willow Is  Dying

Sapped of it's strength
it's arms now at it's sides
ignored, thirsty, this tree
chosen with love, planted with heart
has given up, the long summer drought
and now the cold autumn air
bringing it's golden tone to an end.

"For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart.
It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul."
(J.Garland)

Well done Maureen, I love the way you use words.......

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

Just like a person, it needed attention.

You write so very well.  Are you sure you're not from Texas?

Of course, it could be the proximity thereto.  Naw, if proximity were the case you'd be writing like a mississippian

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Wynter, this poem made me cry, I can feel the despair behind your words. (sad sigh) I know this feeling ever so well, and how it feels the seeds of love will neevr sprout, but I know deep down, the sprouts will caress the tree so dearly and bud fruit and happiness of love to last eternally! (smiles) Your golden heart always shines with such unconditional love and compassion! My heart is with you, sweet friend, and I love you so very much! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Wynter, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
