Lucie's Fishing Pole

Once upon a cold dark night
A fish swam into Lucie's sight
With pole in hand, and big bear grin
Lucie acted swiftly to reel him in
So startled was fish he could barely sputter
Before he knew what hit'em, he was eatin butter
As Lucie munched away with a satisfied grin
To her dismay found the fish hook she'd left in!
With a fat swollen lip and a mighty big swear,
She spat out that fish right in front of a bear.
That bear chased poor Lucie, she ran for the trees,
While running she tripped, and fell on her knees.
That bear caught ol' Lucie by her designer jeans,
And all through the woods you could hear Lucie's screams.
But the clever Lucie decided it was time to make haste,
The bear was left holding the seams,
while Lucie ran chaste.

***********
FYI, the bear is in the LAIR(Y) and the fish is a GROPER(grouper)loper

Great, funny poem of Lucie's misfortune, Kacy.  But I don't think you answered her question.  Hmmm...am I confused, again?

No, Duncan you aren't confused. It's my trademark elusiveness. Not from fear of the consequences though. I'm always playing devils advocate, or is it just 'the devil made me do it?'  I like to leave something up to the reader's own imagination.

(sigh) I am not sure what this contest or competition is all about, but this poem is so clever and wonderful! (smiles) Poor Lucie! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I seen that Lucie run down there
She with her backside all bare
I wondered what my eyes had seen
Was I still in nightmare dream?
A streaker running past my eyes
Now young lady, that’s not wise
It scared me so I had to scream
Such scariness I’d never seen

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Yah, but did you see that worried look upon that bear? and poor fishie..he really was so sweet. (Reincarnation would take care of his problem. Maybe he'll be a Phoenix or a nine-lives cat next time)
