I revere such instances
When by chance of stalling day
I can fade into my thoughts
I am able to remove the background noise

I see the hallway
The doors
Each with it’s own inviting grace
Each a different color
Each having a place
In my emotions

Sometimes I simply wander the hall
Indecisive of which to enter

Sometimes I run directly through
To the one I can hide within

There are no locks
There is freedom without
They are my private libraries of notion

There are tables
Paper
Pens within each room

Some by candlelight
Others are clearly bright white
Others are chained to filtered stains of glass

I ponder in these places
My own occasions
I am content
Even in darkness

As long as I may take a moment
to be forever creative in the slipknot
of timeless words..

I love the imagery in this piece. So this is where you pen all these wonderful poems.

I ponder in these places
My own occasions
I am content
Even in darkness

I love those lines. I love to ponder in peace, solitude and darkness. Sometimes wake up in the middle of the night, come downstairs, and listen to the sounds of silence and my thoughts. Very comforting

I can't tell you what this poem meant to me personally. Of course, there's no way you could know that and maybe that's one of the most wondeful things about poetry.  We don't know how it's going to touch another reader.
This one did that. In these words I read my own thoughts, my own feelings and my own joy and sadness.  Brought to mind so many things, things I had lost sight of. Things and feelings...I'm not saying it very well.
But it's just nice to know there's another person with those same feelings and that way I don't feel I'm the only one. Thank you for posting this.

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Regina, I know just how you feel and I can relate to this feeling, for just touching another's heart with words is the greatest gift a poet can get, and yours has touched me deeply always. (smiles) God Bless You, sweet friend, may you have such a beautiful day! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Wow!  I have a feeling, should you continue, you will have many words and pieces that become timeless

I'm certain that there's light in all your rooms, and doubtless music too.

Wherever you find peace to write......is a good place dear Regina.  Wonderful penning.

Regina,

I also have many rooms and each has pen and paper.  Some are bright, and yes, one has candlelight.  You know of that one.  Some are hiding places, some are cells, some are simply rooms I use for thinking.  I enjoyed this much, my friend.  You've a very good imagination. *hugs*

I hope the ink never runs out, and that your curiosity to explore "the rooms" stays fresh, and lasting. Ever intriguing, Regina.

I can actually picture a house with walls, hallways, doors, rooms, etc. The imaginary matter brought forth by this poem.

Sven: But of course...you inspired much of the material stored in the fantasy room!   Though I'd let you in on that since you're such a great "Listener"! Hugs!
