Quickly Which yesterday burns constant the one where dream crossed hopes gave thought to a kiss Or perhaps the one where lips made good on the promise of sweet shivering Though not forgotten the day of trials and sorrow's long tow of a heart deflated But now patience and comprehension prove true a parent's lesson ignored Slow the ways of love's fast igniting learn the moment breathe the hour cherish the day Quickly we came this way deliberate is our surrender Willie ©2001 |
