these are the only words that I have for you tonight
no tales of Goddesses of Love and the gifts they bring
no stories of Romance and moonlight walks along the beach

no, these are the only words I have for you tonight
words that are coming from a heart that just feels tired
words that are coming from a mind that wonders why it does
and words that are coming from a soul that knows all too well

these are the words that I never share with anyone
the words that flow from my heart when the sky is gray
and when the wind blows the last leaves off the trees
these are the words that come
from a November day that's supposed to be cold
but yet, laughs at me with it's warmth and softness
making me think that it's always going to be like this

but, why am I telling you this?
you're not interested in these words of mine tonight,
no, you want the tales of love and life and spirit that you know
you'll always get from me, you've come to expect them. . .

well, these are the only words that I have for you tonight
I pray that they are enough
maybe tomorrow I'll have a story for you that you'll love
and maybe tomorrow,
you'll remember that it's not always what's behind the words
it's what the words are. . .

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi. . . while my Muse is feeling sad. . . I am not. . . but, I have to listen. . . thanks. . .

As an avid reader here, I AM interested in the words of every poet. Sure don't have time to read them all but I know that life cannot be all sunshine and flowers. Sometimes we gotta let it rain-even through our words. If they are sincere, every reader should want to hear.

Oh GR8 voice of the Northlands.  Chin up my friend, it will soon be cold and your heart will soon be warm with love and the words will flow like the Mississippi.

Hmmmmm ... how will we shut him up then

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Sven!  I enjoy listening to you talk from your heart like this!
We don't often hear the poet/poetess speaking other than in rhyme or prose, and usually on a topic.
This is very nice...to see this side of you.
Almost like a fireside chat....almost.

It was warm here today, too...and if it stayed that way all winter, it wouldn't break my heart at all.  I actually prefer this type of writing from you, don't get to see it often.

Sven....when you write so deep as this...
who cares for rhyme or stories...For this
is far more true and powerful than any
story or romance poem that can be written.

thank you.

I like this lots, my friend, and I'm glad if it's only the muse and not you that feels sad.

Yes, sometimes a muse will do that to us. And you are wise to listen. I like this style and the thougths in it. No matter what you write of, you always pen it very eloquently.

Sven,

"no, these are the only words I have for you tonight
words that are coming from a heart that just feels tired
words that are coming from a mind that wonders why it does
and words that are coming from a soul that knows all too well..."

OOOOOoooo I love those lines. You write so wonderfully. Greatly enjoyed And I'm glad it is your muse, not you, that is feeling sad.

Hugs,
Tara

ANY of your words will do, my friend.
The roamings of your mind are most interesting.   Beautiful Heart!

And the only words I have tonight??  Peace and Love, they are the only two that really matter!!  Ooops :0  Off she goes.....

But seriously you portrayed 'that' feeling perfectly dear heart....

Whether you write about love, friendship, the Goddesses, death or darkness ALL your writings are inspiring and beautiful - just like your spirit, never doubt it or yourself, and follow where the pen or errrr keyboard may lead you....

Love and light and many *hugs*
