Hey Mr. Truck Driver….

Now just because I was
decked out
in fabric of today
over youth
of yesteryear’s yearnings

was it
only my wanting imagination
allowing
possibilities that you, the
truck driver, stayed
just behind my right
car door

as we crept through
morning’s heyday

while my black
skirt
inched mid-high
just like it
did
yesteryear..

so…

was the view still worth it?

or did you play on the brake
like I played on the words...

Yep! That's what they do, and what they someday hope to see breaks the ridicule of the rumbling cab.

Probably a little of both

Deca - Ohhhhh yeah - I can see that pesky teasing skirt now - We men are just slaves to our eyeballs - lol.  The really sensuous aspect of this poem (for an old scalawag such as myself) is the part about you enjoying the stardom.  wooo!  That is really hot.  Just like this poem.   ssssssssssssss

OH DEAR!!!  I KNOW truck drivers really do this in real life, lmao!!  One of my best friends is a truck driver, and yep, I have heard all kinds of stories!!  You've given a wonderful show with your play on words.

LMAO. This reminded me of a few years ago when I used to have to commute the highway to work, and got a few honks from the drivers of a certain trucking company in town. I later found out from one of them that they used to get on the radio and tell each other where I was, and would let the others know. And yes, maybe my skirts were a little short!! Thanks for the memories, I'd forgotten all about that.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?
