Touched Have you ever been touched So deeply So completely So utterly That everything changed Everything Have you ever been touched In your heart In your soul In your spirit In all that you are And everything changed Everything Have you ever been touched To where you trembled Cried Pondered Guessed Hoped And couldn't explain why Have you ever been touched To where impossible emotion Welled up From unknown places within Impossible emotions You could hardly explain Could barely understand So overwhelming You went into shock And shivered In cold stupefaction Have you ever been touched To where you found yourself Inspired as never before To where you found yourself Groping for answers Praying Over and over For understanding Have you ever been so touched That all you've ever known No longer made sense No longer mattered And you struggled To let go How you used to see What you expected What you thought counted Realizing It was never What it seemed [This message has been edited by wornways (edited 11-07-2001).] |

I have ... by a butterfly... and its apparent by the depth of the emote I feel here...that you have too... beautiful expressive free verse of life changing love. well done wornways jm I can be your hero baby ... I will kiss away the pain |

A very touching poem, and one which made me think of the many ways I've been deeply touched. Some have been good, others have not. But to be deeply touched emotionally is the essence of being human. You have presented these thoughts very well. |

wowsers ... genuine feedback!  yay!let's see... ~ janet marie ~ not sure what you mean 'by a butterfly', but i think i understand it in context with the falling star (one of god's expressions that always reach me to my utmost depths ~ midnightsun ~ i feel that you have caught the essense of my inspiration in writing this piece. thank you for your thoughts. ~ poet devine ~ i had this visual of someone reading 'touched' and reacting somewhat surprised in realization of various life impacts while reading when i read your response. thank you, it's a nice feeling to think i might have touched someone with this poem. ~ greeneyes ~ ~ lone wolf ~  ~ nightshade ~ still am, thankfully. may we all be forever touched by our lord and his ways... to be thankful for the touch is to never forget its meaning and impact. ~ ctowen ~ yay! your response makes me happy. i could feel your enthusiasm. i'm glad you enjoyed this piece. cheerfulness all -----EAT |
