living a near death experience
awakening to divine consciousness
creating life after meth
choosing to live over death

a year has passed
since i first met fate
it was the longest
ever first date

spinning aimlessly
out of control
she snuck right in
of my life took control

didn't know what hit me
but needed more
fell on my face
on the way out the door

she's a lover of sorts
she'll keep you up all night
when it's all over
your blinded by the light

paranoia soon shows her face
can't look in the mirror
your a total disgrace

60 days clean
how long will it last?
will you ever be free of your past?

time will tell it
a day at a time
a story untold
of a tweakers crime
I would never wish this experience on anyone
it is a fast road to death or prison...
for more info or if your just curious
search for "life or meth" some of you might find
it interesting...HAPPY SURFING

Julie, if this is all from personal past, I'm very glad you left it where it belongs....way in the past, never to surface again in your life. Meth is such a nasty destroyer, sucking out the lives and souls of too many people. Keep smiling, keep writing, and keep away from that false crystal, that only brings misery and death.

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Julie, this is so so sad and my heart cries out to your pain! (wipes tears) Meth is such a depressing drug indeed, and I know for looking at pictures in D.A.R.E in elementary school, so I am zero-tolerant against all kinds of drugs and alcohol. (big hugggsssss) I pray your heart may heal from this all and you will be loved the way your golden heart deserves! (sigh) We all love you, sweet friend! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Julie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

excellent. . . the truest test of life is whether we can overcome that which seeks to control or destroy us. . . you've come this far. . . don't give up. . .

great job here. . . it's good to get it all down isn't it??

I wonder what you found when you looked up "life or meth" in that search? What brought you back to the light. I have known a few trapped in the corner by meth, and it is hard to turn and fight yourself to be free of it. If this poem is about you, and you have defeated her, then good for you. We all tumble down detours on our life path at one point in the road or another, and if we have the courage to turn 'round and get back on the main road, then we will be better for it in the end!
