Screeching shell are date is not set
this is the time less we forget
those men and women who gave thier lives
so the democracy we know can survive

This beats with a passion we cannot see
it exists in you and exists in me
this life we know is free from pain
is taken for granted just the same

Its only when events occur and people die
that we turn to eachother and release a sigh
we realise that the world is far from good
and our concepts of freedom are mis-understood

Yet we have taken up arms to fight another
not women or children, but our brothers
to show them what our world can destroy
their young men, their women, their boys

Religion is this evil tool in this war
I think I may of heard this before
If history can teach us a lesson
then I'll make this my last confession

Excellent work, Richard.  Much can be learned from the past if we take the time to examine it.  I really like this one.

All writing comes
