In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2001-11-06 03:16 PM

It’s early morning
The fog is still spread
Across the lake
In a white blanket
Shreds of poetry
Echo in my mind
These symbols I create
To represent who I am
Invoked in the chants
And icons of life
In the reality
Of hidden veils
adorned in
The beauty of capturing

evanescent angels

Sliding through rainbows
Floating just out of sight
Yet, I feel you,
Hover on the edge
Of my vision, on the
Edge of my sanity
Again I remember
The path of a thousand nights
And days
Closing my eyes
Tasting the sky
Sipping the rain
The path we
Traveled in silent
Years of simplicity
I’ve felt it
Fluttering as one
On the sound of
Your wings

because in spite of everything,
I still believe that

I knew you had a gift for imagery and you've proved it once again.  The title is exquisite and the rest of the piece as well. Very nice!

Lauren,

Beautiful?  Yes!  The way this flows it really is so much like flying, or perhaps a leaf floating might be a better description.  Either way, it's absolutely lovely, my friend.  *hugs*
