As my love approaches the eve, I yearn to say...
To say that you...only you have ever...
Ever known the depths of my heart, of my soul.
Known them as no one can or ever will.

As my body turns from young to gracefully old
you still see me as a young man, so alive to you.
You are my fount of youth, my vitality.
My heart beats young tonight as I lie at your side.

Our love physically is soft, tender, joyful, everlasting..
Our love mentally is immense, explosive, dynamic.
My love for you through years never wanes.
You my dear are all this man’s heart can bear.

I look at my twilight with smiles and joyous tears.
For I see you here at my side for the ages to come.
My aging body does not concern me now.
For you and I are one and the same, both young.

When, I ask....might I ever feel I am too old?
Might there ever be a day my heart holds you not?
Is there only enough love to endure middle age?
Or, is there enough to last through all time?

You have given me countless wonderful blessings.
You gave me yourself freely as my first love.
You took me into your arms as your own.
I, my love, my dear...shall forever reside there.

I leave you now as you lie resting so peacefully.
My heart, full of joy remains within you.
My soul clings to my life, wanting not to leave.
For all time I have.... belongs to only you.

Sue,  I am very pleased that you got some
pleasure from this expression of love.  I
sometimes don't tell my wife all of my
thoughts like this...but I did read it to
her and she enjoyed it...I am glad you did
as well.

Peaches....I am learning a long hard lesson
of love toward a lady dear to me...I want
her to know that this man cares and that she
is a very important part of my life....  I
hope you can experience that in your life.

JM....getting to this level of love takes
a very long time....I am not sure that even
I am there yet...I am still learning each
day...I just say wonderful thoughts more now
than I ever once did before...she deserves
that.  I am lucky to have her...not her me.

This is the ideal, to have a lifelong love, to weather the storms long enough to land on peaceful shores.   Thanks for sharing this love story, it's very encouraging.

Walker...I have found that I can express my
feelings so well here...and I am now beginning to give them to my wife...she is awestruck at what I write...and she loves it.
