Cool damp fog settled And morning became the shroud Hiding my mourning From the eyes of those Who would pay respect to that I thought dead in me. Slow paced procession Of steps One following One Until I bumped into you Also hiding In the mists of this day No flash of eyes or recognition Still an unsettled knowing A simple touch of mind Could have in other times Led to different nows Cool damp settled With no spark of warmth One followed One Yet still I dream |

Bumping into the mist. An interesting metaphor here. I've had one of those 'misty bumps' and wondered why I let those feelings disappear into the fog, without a trace. |

Were it not for your writing, I would not travel back to the memories and places I always seem to find when I read them. And I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing...only that you make the travel time incredibly enjoyable. Good to see you back in town. |
