Cool damp fog settled
And morning became the shroud
Hiding my mourning
From the eyes of those
Who would pay respect to that
I thought dead in me.

Slow paced procession
Of steps
One following
One
Until I bumped into you
Also hiding
In the mists of this day

No flash of eyes or recognition
Still an unsettled knowing
A simple touch of mind
Could have in other times
Led to different nows

Cool damp settled
With no spark of warmth
One followed
One

Yet still
I dream

Think I'll go back to sleep so I can dream too.

Have missed you Ron.

This has a very ethereal feel....or perhaps it was because my area of space was very fogged in this morning....

either way....it likes me!

Bumping into the mist. An interesting metaphor here.  I've had one of those 'misty bumps' and wondered why I let those feelings disappear into the fog, without a trace.

Peaches... you must have sneaked in as I was replying..( grinning) Thanks for the comment..and yes the fog has been heavy here the last few days, lending itself to my mood and the air of mystery that always seems to surround foggy days..

The fog inspires great things in you Ron.  Like SEA, I also had chills upon reading this piece.  It's great to see your name around here again   stay awhile kay?

Hugs,
~Krista

Smitten... thanks for the read and the comments... as for staying around, should not be traveling for a while, but am buried here at work and will be around as much as I can.... glad you liked...

Martie... moody...yes perhaps the best way to describe what I felt while writing it...
I appreciate your taking time to read and to comment... thank you....

Were it not for your writing, I would not travel back to the memories and places I always seem to find when I read them.  And I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing...only that you make the travel time incredibly enjoyable.  Good to see you back in town.

very cool indeed.
written with your signature style we've come to expect and respect.

This has reminded me that I miss reading your works, Ron.  It's been a while, and I'm not in this forum as often as I used to be, but I'm happy I bumped into one of your poems.  Might I add:  your past writings and style have helped me in embracing minimalism too -- especially lately with my poetry class.  See you around.

You know I read this I don't know how many times. I think I felt something different each time, I really mean that. It left me with a "wish".  Does that make sense?
