(this is meant to be seen at all directions and has been something I have wanted to express for a long time)

I’ve seen how she writes to him in IM’s
How sick is my wife to be talking to him
How she is stiff when I walk in the room
Runs from the keyboard and picks up a broom

First it was poems, she wrote them at night
Watching the T.V. I gave it no fight
She told me her poems got lots of replies
She was out of my hair, so why should I pry?

Then I got jealous I’d have to confess.
Getting too happy and acting the pest,
She asked that I’d read each one that she wrote
All replies were from guys I sure did take note.

In her MSN, AOL and Yahoo
There were plenty of girls but boys were there too
I said, no more, of that site I’d allow
She’d better not write and come to bed now!

‘bout a month passed and my wife was all sad
She begged to go back, post poems and chat
So since she was good I let her return
(And if she was bad, I’d force her to learn)

That’s when she met a new guy on the block
Whose poems were good, she told me they rocked
Every time from then on I walked in the room
She’d run from the keyboard and pick up the broom

The broom from her hands I smashed up the place
“Take all of your poems right now and erase
I’ve seen how he writes those poems for you
He can just have you, get out and we’re through!”

I read the history in ICQ
Looking to find what I already knew
I got to his name and read what they said
But when I was done I was light in the head

“Please don’t you write your love poems for me
I’m happily married my husband might see”
I thought we were friends, we were at the start
Now you’re just hoping to waver my heart”

“Come on you asked for all this attention
Hubby don’t love you I think you did mention
Besides I’ll just tell you, you’re one in a line
Before its all over the chicks’ll be mine!”

After reading these lines and just a few more
I knew that my wife would be gone from the door
I’m so glad that my life was turned on its side
But with dogs out there lurking it’s better she hides!

Hey Walt.....glad you expressed what you felt, after all that's what poetry is for. If I could get on my ICQ now (it's not working at the time   ) I'd contact you, so don't think I'm mad at you.   See you around.

God bless America, my home sweet home.

Well, I am glad it isn't about you and your wife. *sigh* I am relieved that the love the two of you share is not going through this. Great writing......extremely powerful. Very well put. You sure know how to use words well. I almost got all emotional. Amazing work.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

This is very good, Walt. Sad to think that this actually happens to some couples, very sad.

I'm glad it's not you, walt - but there are many who'd have to admit that they fit the bill... and that part is sad - Well said - and not so wayout..

Walt..you are a good person...I appreciate your sincerity...and as Liz said...that is what poetry is for...mostly we are harmless...and sometimes there are those that set out to undermine. Ulterior motives aren't pretty at all...especially when your loved one becomes concerned. The web has many scheming thieves. Thank you for caring.

Sincerely,
Regina
