I travel alone
Winding in and around faces
I mirror their brogue
And roll it across my own tongue
Tasting the sound of their slang

I wear gloves
So no one sees the scars
Of a far off nightmare
Where my foe burnt his signature
Into the back of my hand
They think me Ladylike

If they only knew of the blade
I carry in my stocking case

Today I am blonde
Tomorrow Brunette
Maybe by sunset
I’ll be red

My body aches for justice
Though I am programmed
To never get personally involved
My thoughts turned homicidal

Thigh bruised and eager
From jumping fences
On the so-called farmland
Of chemical maniacs

The rats of foreign wealth
Measuring up on fanciful dreams
Paying low wages to the streams
Of mal-practiced chemists

I’ll find them a home
When last he grabbed my hair
And pulled me to his nasty kiss
He thought himself King
And I.. just another of his Drug pawned
Kittens...meowing for his powdered milk

The tape is safe within my underlings
Where he whispered to me
How he wanted to take me
To see his steed
How he would give me anything
As his business was always pleasure

Sick of his thick breath
Swirled with thoughts of hundreds
Of little ones dying from a bad batch

Luckily for me
His wife Rolls Royced in
Just before I separated his heart
Giving me a chance to catch
The next train

Well....I'll have to come back to this one and read it again, because I didn't understand all of it. But you impressed me here, Regina. Well done.

God bless America, my home sweet home.

It doesn't seem right to say I enjoyed reading your painful words, but you have written a powerful piece of poetry, right down to the nitty gritty.

If I had written this and confronted my skeletons, I could see myself as one of those women wrestlers ready to take on anyone who got in my way.

Regina,
Wow, a weaver of intrigue as well. Intense poem, I liked this. But I'm a sucker for spy stories.

Regina the spy, I like it, changing a face for each day of the week, undercover with no commitment, ridding the trash.
A great imagination indeed, with your penning we may see a novel soon.

Great work Regina, enjoyed.

Sincerely
Rick

Stepping into the lives that we see others live is not an easy task, but you do it well and you pen it as if you were doing so from current minutes in your life, but then again, if you were roll-playing then it only makes sense that the minutes would have been current.  A very detailed and intrigal piece of creation you have given us today.  I muched enjoyed it and especially the way it carried the thoughts as they race through.

Mark: A very gracious comment! It is as if I go there..in my mind...now they know why I talked to myself so much as a child!   Maybe someone was really there? Me, myself and I. I'm thrilled you enjoyed this piece.

Sincerely,
Regina
