I controlled myself the best I could,
only wanting an evening out for myself.
Face to face across the bar,
there she was Roxanne.

I controlled myself the best I could,
talking to friends, old and new.
But there she was, a stealer of sorts.
I had lost to her, his love.

I controlled myself the best I could,
knowing she stared and knew it was me.
I wasn't too sure until I asked, but
there she was Roxanne.

No fear, no shame, a stealer of men,
a collector to share in lust.
I held my own, 'til she walked by
the nerve of her, Roxanne.

To say goodbye to all she passed,
to add my name, Maureen.
If I could have, I would have...
but held onto my self-control.

Then why do I feel beaten by her.
She has you know, twice now.
First before, and once again,
I am cursing her with her own words.

*I always wondered how I would feel
if and when I ran into her some day.
A bitter taste....

"For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart.
It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul."
(J.Garland)

A bitter taste indeed and you handled the situation very well. We never know what we will do until it happens to us. My heart goes out to you that you had this to deal with. **hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

(sad sigh) Oh Wynter, it is so heartwrenching indeed to feel this way; never let her get you down, for you have a very loving heart and you always shine with compassion and hope! (big hugggssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, my heart goes out to you! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Wynter, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

It must have given her great pleasure to know she helped ruin my life. Thank you, though, I didn't handle it as well as I could have, as it is eating away at me now.

Maureen,
You weren't beaten her at all. What she took from you she can have. You are by far the better woman. Ain't no question.
