Listening to every heart

twixt and tween

this day laughed in dance
giggling the last of summer along
seeing skip of wayward leaves
blown by warm southern winds
skiffing skirts of yesterday’s summer

this twixt and tween day

the kind one harbors in lineal
memories of recall, knowingly taking
in crisp smells of the briefest
moment to pull out warm like a chocolate
chipped cookie
‘neath winter’s milky cover

a smile in-between day

for feel-good-because-it-turns
upward reasons, no other
justification required, turn left
smack dab into pearly
whites, watching it multiply

kind of day

few and far between
this twixt and this tween
a crystalline scene
memories dream

kind of day

full it was, heaven scent
wisps to line recall
good it was, as night comes spent
in cool clean climes of fall
quiet now, dusk comes o’er
sunlight’s skipped on by
twilight blends heaven’s bower ~
sleep well midst angels sigh

Sometimes the weather is such that there can be no complaining....I'm glad you enjoyed just such a day.

you've danced my heart
between light tricks
playing vision games --
you have seasoned
the breeze on my skin
with words turning
pirrouettes
blending

your verse is
indian summer
warming my spirit

Karilea, It was exactly the kind of day here that you described.  Warm for November, with the leaves skipping down the street..it was beautiful, just as you say!

Sometimes the words just seem to flow from you bright dear Sunshine, and meld with the forces around us - like they were meant to be - as these you've written above, do.

...cans't I say more
   than what touches me inside,
   warms my soul,
   lives in my heart.

   I think not
for thou has silenced my words
with  the beauty of thine own...
