Destiny Died

I know of where life intends for me to leave my trail
And, that I somehow leave a remain of myself on whatever road I take
I leave behind my presence in any form it decides to take on
And, allow destiny to complete itself in any move I make...

I never knew the goal to which I leaned on all these years
Could ever diminish in the wind that fall presents us with
I always believed my destiny was something no person or thing could steal
But, here I stand in the middle of desertion just writing this...

My destiny once sang so loudly it was heard from every single noise nature gave
And, it was seen just as clearly as the dawn each new day
But, sometime last night my destiny died in the arms of a tear-filled night
And, I just watched as I allowed my soul to take it away...

My destiny died gradually getting weaker by my every moment
And, now I am of but empty as I walk through this life
So, can anyone tell me where I can get it all back again?
I'll gladly carry your message with me on into the night...

I used to think I'd be able to stand above the highest clouds and look down
And, yet relate to what was smaller than I was at that time
I couldn't wait each day to remove selfishness and begin to walk that path
But, somehow I let you take from me what was righteously mine...

So, I can bow my head as my destiny is placed of where it can't be reached right now
But, I'll look up with the hope that someday I will carry it again
For destiny died last night within my ego's thoughts
But, next time I won't allow you to take my most kindest friend...

Sometimes we need to stand below our destiny so that in the looking up we reach heights we did not think we were capable of. It has not died, my friend, but is only waiting for you to find it once again. A wonderful work of art. BRAVO!!!

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

destiny gives. . . and fate takes. . . or, is it the other way around???

well done. . . makes you think. . .

Your destiny is not really dead, Sauni, just taking a break and looking for a midlife path adjustment.
(PS, I'm still reading that article you sent, and will reply to it later)

Look for the Phoenix to rise out of the funeral ashes.

Dan

Death comes not when we cease to breathe, but when we cease to dream.
