January …….the wind blows high
And ruffles up the cloud grey sky
The winter’s night is deep and black
The dormouse snug within his sack

February…… stands side by side
The silver moon and stars all hide
The Ice-cold winds will pass and mark
The shrivelled plants with fingers stark

March…….and whispers life of new
The snowdrop waves the snow adieu
The purple crocus …..head aloft
Snuggles in the new grass…… soft

April …….still the winds a gust
With promises of warmth that’s just
Around the corner trees a sway
Welcoming for gentle……. May

May ……drops in and goes to soon
Makes its way for clear warm June
The corn is green the Cuckoo’s fly
With turquoise blue the painted sky

July ……the bride of flaming June
The sun looks on and hugs the moon
The harvest ripens fields are ploughed
The days are long with smiles endowed

Augusts’ heat and…. barbies burn
With creamy milk the dairies churn
High cream teas and picnics rife
August brings the best….of life

September….and a hint of rain
The frothy clouds build up again
In hedgerow where the flocks all meet
And chatter on their prickly seat

October…..now a wisp of frost
The lazy gardeners’ plants are lost
The hothouse brims with favoured stock
Sheltered from the winters shock

November … looks a grey sad time
But nature as always….. is sublime
And as winter comes and summers die
A burning red lights up the sky

And so December….locks in tight
And rings the bells of ‘Silent Night’
And as we sway with Christmas cheer
We feel the turning of the year

All these moments
In time
Will be Lost
Like Tears in the rain
