Her robes of sheer white
Not hiding the truth
The secrets revealed in those hands
Telling the tale of a vanishing youth
In which only illusion can withstand
Weaving her hands through autumns cool air
Capturing hearts not willing to share

The mime of mistrust
Of things in his sight
Sees the door of insanity’s watch
As her hands make life doves take flight
With a curse he draws in his scotch
Her charm enthralls them just as she demands
Will no one examine those withering hands?

This enchanted place
Is only her stage
I see in her eyes she understands
Though her body appears not to age
The finale has taken her hands
How can she weave a spell in my heart
I think upon this from the time that we part

Walt,

I'm not sure if I am reading this piece correctly or not, but I am actually reading three seperate pieces intertwined among the one. All three are absolutely beautiful pieces. Thank you for sharing.

"This enchanted place"... is but a stage - and quite an exquisite one indeed - Very nicely done, my wayoutfriend...

He watches her knowing her better maybe than she knows herself. A poem of understanding that feels incredibly tender to me. Very well done.
