Needs

She has
grown to nine
though gangles not
bearing well,
she
spread her holiday
by cheering all
in costumed grace
painted face

left me wondering
again

at how you
walked
away

it is not her fault
you claiming
not yours, either

still I try to instant her
dreams
we elastic our imaginations
making wrongs
right

it is not her fault
and not yours
both suffering
one’s mental defect

but by neglect
of what you could do
for you

you both lose

but promises stand
she’ll see ten

then more

by me

This line really jumps out.
'we elastic our imaginations
making wrongs
right'
You have some very interesting poetic imagery, decaflame...And this poem is a no exception. I enjoy reading your unique poetry.

ahhhhhhh..such a warm heart you have..I love the feel of this from you, despite knowing someone doesnt acknowledge this angel.

Oh I understand, I raised a girl alone, too. And you touched this feeling so well.

not her fault...not yours..

It is heartbreaking indeed, Decaflame, but we can only do what we can do and keep hopes alive and fingers crossed....

Perhaps one day.......

I know this one deeply...My beauty is 13...she is the best of anything he ever was or ever will be...and I make sure she knows it everyday...by me too. Loved this Deca.

Sincerely,
Regina
