A-To-Z War Angry armies, Blasting bombs, Candy-coated Dark damnations; Eerie evenings, Falling fire, Ghostly, grasping Hands, hellacious Image isn't Justified. Killing; kingdoms License "leaders," Madmen, monsters -- Naming night Over oceans, Plains, palatial Queendoms; quickly Razing rock, Slaying silent Towns. Tomorrow's Undone; under Vict'ry's vile, Wicked wager -- "X"-existence? Yes-men yelling... Zooming...ZAP. ~~~~~ ~~~~~ Escaping The Snowstorm All alone, Blizzard-blown, Cage-caught, Distraught Erased, Frozen-faced Ghost-gone, Hanger-on Icy, ill, Jumping Jill, Kerb-Kicked, Leeward-Licked Melting, mutant, Numbskull-nutant; Onrush -- Plum plush! Quivers, quacks, Rest, relax -- Sip safely, Take tea... ...until velvet white x's yield yawns...zzzz... ~~~~~ ~~~~~ The first poem, I wrote today (11/1/01). The second was written quite a while ago in response to a "challenge" at a former site. The idea, of course, is to use each letter of the alphabet, A to Z. |
