Rings of Time

The tears that you shed today
Will lantern your tomorrow.
They will stabilize your day
And wash away your sorrow.

They’re the nectar of your youth
The passion of your flower
And they’ll fill a lovers tooth
With sweetness of its power

Vainglory of Amory
Shines within each separate style
The story of your glory
Truth that starts your every wile

Petals of your life unfold
It’s the sound within your chime.
Each forever story told
And the ring you grab of time.

Believe me dear and never fear.
It is the reason we are here.

Rarely do I have a favorite of any line, as all of them speak to me, but today, this

quote:
The tears that you shed today
Will lantern your tomorrow.

spoke a little louder....

oh me sweet Stinky...did ya just know how I needed these words of wise this morn *S*
and this is classic Sy Tabin poetry...
wisdom of the years and truth wrapped in rhyme......
and the reason I hang on your every word...simply put...you light up my life.
(YOU are a lantern)

This distance has shown how the road remains alone
Now I'm looking in my life ... for a truth that is my own.

The wisdom in your words helps us to see within ourselves and find the lantern which will burn with a brightness that will lead us into our tomorrows. I love this poem and what it has to say to us all. **hug** thank you for sharing it...you will touch people with these words that will help them to heal and look forward to a new day.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Seymour,

I think everyone loved the same line as well as the poem as a whole.  Good one!

Sy, you are a lantern bright
your poetry is of such delight
that moon and stars are pale jests
compared to your poetic best
