Interloper, poet joker
Lover of unlucky charms
He’s another Mr. Roper
Void of women in his arms

Interloper, chapel groper
Hanky panky in the church
Pastor was a microscoper
Leaving Loper in the lurch

Interloper, tried to rope her
On a summer picnic lunch
Army ants then enveloped her
Had themselves a hearty brunch

Interloper, sly tightroper
Balancing a juggler’s act
Poor Mysteria, let’s just hope her
Lightening rod is still in tact

Interloper, feline stroker
Treated her as though a pet
She had claws like red hot stoker
Hasn’t gotten near her yet

Interloper, playing poker
Thinks his charm’s a winning ace
Another ploy, another joker
Slips again through his embrace

He sets out with loaded deck
A lucky charm around his neck
But I can say in honesty
He saves the real thing just for me

(Just teasing, Interloper
Your lady poems are lovely)

Liz

Elizabeth, sweet Elizabth
I sit almost embarrassed to death.
You think my deck is loaded for sure.
That's what Acme said in their brochure.

Methinks you had better watch your back
I will sneak up on you with a sack
throw you in and tie it up real tight,
only to protect me against your bite.

When I release you, in gratitude
you will throw your arms around this dude,
covering my face in wet kisses,
asking me to make you my missus.

Your sincerity overwhelms me
then the police come and I must flee.
~*~

An aside:  If you knew how hard it was for this Texas boy to use the word "dude" you would appreciate this much, MUCH more

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Ok, I give up.  Who is Mr. Roper?

Actually, as tired as I am, who cares.

Lemmee see, who's next...

OMG - How did I ever miss this - I am laughing myself silly here.  Elizabeth what a sense of humor you have and you got him good!  He is indeed Mr. Roper, (from Three's Company) and oh boy, you were sure clever in tagging him with this. LOL, good for you!

Sunshine, I couldn't resist

Startime, Glad you got a laugh

Lady of Shallot, THanks, a smile a day

Interloper, I am certain you are not a Mr. Roper by any means, but I was just having a little fun at your expense. Thanks for the interesting response. Watch your back, now. Another poem might bite you

Martie, Smiling

Nancy, Thanks, your guess is as good as mine

Interloper, You should be tired after all that. Hehe

Mysteria. Are you still under the willow, dear? THat's a dangerous place to be in thunder storms. Gkad you got a laugh
