Screaming for one clean thought
They're just too scrambled
to make any sense
Hate
Love
Confusion
Fear
Hope
Nightmares
All I want to do is run
All I want to do is settle
A home to run from
A home to run to
One man to push away
One man to cling so tight
Out of breath
Fighting harder
Something's got to fit
this puzzle without
matching pieces

"I am nae poet, in a sense;
But just a rhymer like by chance..."
-Robert Burns

Sometimes there really are too many pieces on the table at once. I have to step back, visualize the puzzle complete, then take a deep breath and look at each piece from a different perspective. The pieces somehow all fit together, eventually.
A good poem. It made me think about the input overload we are all subjected to these days.

The jagged edges and rounded corners
make it difficult to put together.
There always seems to be a missing piece
of the picture we had hoped to see.

Good luck on getting them to fit.
