When you dreamt last in yielding soft
I caught...the smile gracing your face
Would I never to replace such tranquillity

I would climb the staircases of endless ascension
to meet you in that place...of precious encounter
I’d weave silken strings to capture your content

You have bound me in your night webs, clinging
As the somber cotton swallows sing deeply, sleep
As I secretly gaze...closely..my prying eyes pensive

If I were just a firefly of sparkle, I would rejoice
Accompanying you..wherever you choose to flow, river reeds,
mountain streams, the sea, any naked body of watery find

Even in cupid arrows strike of fancy, prancing
In a super hero state...in fantasy’s locus lane
A plane, a ship, a carriage, what drives your dreams?

If you knew I watched your sleep smiles, would they cease?
I am so careful not to stir the milk of your unconciousness
Even in kiss of the traces of white templing your hair.

I pray to wake, for my own selfish sake, each time sublime
I will never ask of you to spill....your sanguine
I’ll simply lie my head on the same pillow, in sweet aspire

What soft, lilting romance this is. You make the reader fall into the tenderness of this one. What beautiful thoughts of love you have started my day off with Regina.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

In dreams he went serene a smile he left behind to view,
and beams content it seems his night was spent aflight with you.

Regina, I know this feeling, what a lovely, poetic description of watching the loved one sleep. Amazingly beautiful.

Regina...this is just fabulous writing
suberp vocab and poetic phrasing...
and I love the internal rhymes blended thru..
and of course the romantic intend..expressed with some very unique, fresh and clever images and thoughts.
very well done poetess..as always

This distance has shown how the road remains alone
Now I'm looking in my life ... for a truth that is my own.
