Come Back Little Girl

I watched her being led away
by an officer of the law
What more was there to say
Her running was the final straw

Silently I cried, “Come back little girl”
What had brought her to this place
She had been our precious pearl
Now defiance etched her face

I mentally searched for some clue
to help me understand
So many things had been untrue
Deceit had been carefully planned

What had we done to deserve this pain
Was it something we said or did not do
Was the love we gave to her in vain
A flood of tears began anew

Somehow we must find the will to go on
The pain is more then we can bear
The door closes; she is gone
Come back little girl, we care

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Wanda, my heart cries ever so much for your dearest neighbors and their little girl, and I pray with all my heart that she may return and forgive her parents and again live happily ever after! (sad sigh) This is so so sad, sweet friend! My heart is with them as yours is! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Wanda, thank you for sharing!

Wanda,  problems with children can be ever
so saddening and perplexing....We try so hard
to make their lives right for them while
trying to teach them right from wrong.  Sad
when it takes so much to help them under-
stand.  I feel your pain over the past
couple of days....can I help?
