~*~ To Welcome Tasha ~*~
by Gramma 29/10/2001

I made a little poem for you,
Even though you are not quite here,
to put into my Gramma’s book,
a book I hold so very dear.

Tasha, before you come into this world,
there’s something I want you to know,
your life will be what you make of it;
for we all reap what we sow.

Give out more than you are asked to,
never expect anything in return.
Darling, you’ll be blessed so richly,
with each lesson that you will learn.

Be kind to all breathing creatures,
regardless of color, or creed on earth.
You see, God created all of us,
with special gifts and worth.

Value all the nature around you,
take time to let it in your soul.
You are only a small part of all there is,
and this balance will keep you whole.

Hold dear your love of family,
pick up friends along life’s way,
but remember when times do get tough,
It’s your family that will stay.

Be content with what you have,
Don’t let envy or jealousy in your heart.
And remember to finish everything,
That you ever start.

I told Tori* this lesson long ago,
"Start where you want to finish".
Don’t take on more than you can chew,
or your own expectations will diminish.

Always have dreams and goals,
in your life they’ll get you far,
but if you don’t succeed, remember,
We love you just the way you are.

Your life will be worth living
if you choose a simple path,
be happy in the moment
find love, right where you’re at.

A wonderful page to go into the Grandmother's Book, that will be passed on not only to these babies, but theirs, as well...

a wonderful faith in what is yet to come...

Dear Sharon, Tasha is a fortunate little angel to have such a talented, *poet laureate* for a Gramma....
When she arrives from God's hands

She will be in the hands of all those who love her with all their hearts. She is indeed blessed. And maybe, (just maybe) she will be born on my B-day, the 3rd of Nov. another Scorpio...
Great advise from a super great Gramma, which, I know you will be.
Love and peace Maggie ((~.~))

With family like this around her, she's off to a running start in life before she's even born. You have written such beautiful words of wisdom to your grand daughter before she is even born. Her life will be rich indeed

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

My, thank you all for your lovely comments.  I talked to Tori in a book the minute I heard she was coming, and have done the same for this one.  I also keep a book that contains all her antics, the funny things she says and does, and the dates, as children are priceless.  I did this for my son who is now 35, and every time he comes over he looks through his books, so I hope the girls too will treasure them one day.  She is scheduled to make her grand entrance on November 6th (but I am going to stay there starting Friday just in case).  She has sure chosen wonderful parents!  I will try to post a wee picture for you all to see.  Thanks again for your lovely words.

Sharon~  What a beautiful poem and one that I'm sure will be treasured for years and years to come   And what a fabulous idea to keep a book of "treasures" from your children and grandchildren.  I must remember that for when I have kids!   And yes, do post a picture for us to see of sweet little Tasha

Hugs,
~Krista

Your beautiful words & creativity allow me to connect with the same in myself.
Thank you for having the courage to share yourself so that I can too

Just beautiful Sharon, just like you ! ... Unfortunately, I have no such things as memory books, but I have a mind that, like a book, stores away living memories of special times ... like holidays spent with special people in beautiful places *sigh* .. much love to you,  Andy XO

Andy ~ Glad I did a memory book as now I have no memory LOL seriously - well, you know that don't you?

Sea ~ Thanks and I will post something too either a poem or announcement with a picture.

SmartChick - ADOPT a Gramma! They surely love it!  I am totally serious - I have a ton of Grammas now at the extended health care facility, and two special ones!  On a serious note I could not be more thankful to feel this young, and have grandchildren I can play with, I thank God for this every day.  Thanks for reading.

Sharon...I'm so sorry I'm late...but I am under strict orders from two very special people, near and dear to my heart, whom I love and cherish...that I must spend the week getting some rest...~*~winks~*~
I know this is a keepsake of beautiful words from the heart of a loving grandmother that will be treasured forevermore.  Tasha already has the gift of a loving and beautiful family awaiting her arrival, and she will realize the truth in this each and everytime she looks through your special book and reads this heart warming tribute.
Your words reflect your beautiful heart, spirit, and soul, my sweet friend.
Hugs and much love to you and yours,
