on the horizon of a fairytale

Southern Breeze

On a breeze of southern gentility
he caressed her heart with lyrical verse of
romance and passion

a whispering of his yearnings
imbibed her spirit with a
knowing of intimacy from an
age of long ago

he, being cloaked in the love and
devotion for a woman, placed his
most desirous deliberations on a
pedestal for all to view

she, snared in the furrows of his
parchment, dreamed of the notion
of obtaining his heart

having felt the touch of his hand
within her being, she can now only
smile, though saddened, at the blanket of
endearment he drapes over someone
else’s bedrail

10-29-01

my best to you, dear friend

Look into the eyes of a man and
you will find the soul of the woman
who loves him...

Wow!  No this one speaks volumes, indeed.  Well done, and a fine turn at the finale

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Perhaps, he should get a new blanket.  Loved the essence of this poem, captured and received.

This makes me think of a woman that I fell in love with and she suddenly pulled away from me taking her beautiful soul to other places...James

Oh, this was good!!!  Fabulous write.  In my opinion things like this happen all too often these days.  May your friend find the love she deserves.

Beautiful, but sad. Love's breezes come and go, kind of like EZ come, EZ go.
