A handsome Pomeranian,
When out with his human friend,
Wears a pink leash on his collar.
The human holds the other end.

The Pomeranian accepts
The loss of freedom this may cost
As a small price for keeping
The human being from getting lost.

If she pauses a while to gossip,
He'll indulge her a moment or two,
Then pull the leash to remind her  They have better things to do.

Though the woman may be tempted,
As all humans are,to stray.
The Pomeranian keeps her
On the straight and narrow way.

Love this one, says many truths about relationships between humans ad pets. I  have a Chihuahua, who thinks he's a God, he will not be subjected to a leash, but he doesn't run away.

My Jack Russell Terrier KNOWS he is human, and ASSUMES he is in charge, leash be darned.
This is a cute poem, and such a true representation of pet behavior, especially of the smaller dog breeds.

Dom - This is an interesting piece. I liked it. Brought back memories of my Doberman named Goose. She actually smiled when you greeted her. It frightened alot of people to see this rather large animal grinning. lol. I miss her very much - she was very intuitive which I believe all animals are - especially dogs. Chris

Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away.
