A Shattered Heart

Deep and unforgiving
Pass the threshold of reality
Is a pain of unimaginable thought
A depth of misplaced cause and purpose
A place shrouded in mystery amongst a cloud of self-pity and confusion
It is most times self-inflicted albeit initially well intentioned
No other pain has the ability to stop time
Further tormenting a shattered soul
It feels like all the joy, hope, and pleasure are sucked out of you
Leaving a shell of loneliness and afterthoughts
An entity walking blindly
Dead to itself
Alive only because of it’s nourishment
A hunger only satisfied with more pain
The pain traverses throughout the body
Searching for that secret niche
That private place of loneliness
In the hopes that by suffering in quiet solitude
The warm healing light of love
Will once again bring about happiness
And make amends for what it started
By mending this broken heart

this is a deep emotional vivid write...
an intense emote...I just read your
"A Mothers Frozen Tears" as well...superb imagery and employ of metaphor and anology of the seasons...
your writing is impressive and polished.
