Oh my Gosh.. what's this I see?
Did Balladeer sneek up on me?
I was searching high then low,
was looking for that man you know.

Remembered was a time when he
inspired all my poetry.
A genius is that Balladeer
read all his poems when I came here.

An Artist.. pure and simple friend
when that witty man takes up his pen.
In every poem.. a story told
just sit and watch his work unfold.

Own my respect? No more then he
and still he would encourage me.
Though I know he's a busy man
each poet's claim.... "His Biggest Fan."

Yes, he is a 'specially good poetic man. With wit and charm, he's always ready to disarm.

*giggling with delight* Such a wonderful poem, Lucie, and one in which I totally agree. Great picture, Nan. *giggling* "dimple in chin, devil within" Do you think our dear Balladeer has a little of the devil in him?

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

What a wonderful tribute to a wonderful man Lucie! Beautifully composed!  He is indeed an amazing poet, one whom I so greatly admire ... my heart simply skips a beat in anticipation, when I see his name beside a new post.

(and I love that pic Nan, LOL!)

Best wishes,
/Kit

I'm so glad Lucie wrote this tribute, and Marge bumped it back to the top, as I hadn't seen it!!  Great write Lucie and I too am one of Balladeers biggest supporters...no not athletic supporter!
I think he is a writer out standing in his field!
Just as long as he doesn't stand under a tree during a thunderstorm!
~hugs, NancyLee~

Hey, Lucie gal, it's great to see
You're back to writing poetry
And traipsing down these halls again
The way you did once way back then.

You always were a special part
Of this old poet's little heart.
The memories come flooding back
Of all the members of our pack.

The Toerag Wars? Yep, you were there
And led the troops with quite a flair
And I remember every gem
You came up with......with Poet Femme.

The Sheep Wars? Yep, you were there, too
(Accusing me of loving ewe!)
The Fruit Wars? You were really hot
Throwing pears at Andrew Scott!

"Adult" was the place to go
When you and Femme put on a show!
We men would come with timid knock
And always wear a steel jock!!

Those early Passion days were great
And all your poetry first-rate.
Thanks, Lucie, for the memories
And stick around and let's play...PLEASE!!!!

PS: That photo is a fake! That wasn't me! Nan had that special-made by trick photography! I didn't know she had the camera aimed at me!!!
