On breathless dreams I do inquire
of your ability to hold me at will.
When streets to shadows turn
I will be there in the lamplight
illuminated with a designation of love.
If the wind stops tonight
then I know my shivers would still reach you
for I no longer need the wind
to comfort me
as long as your voice remains in my days and nights.
Driftting on some shallow bit of hope was I
before you crowned me maker of your dreams.
I am love's home once more.
There are windows lit with the flame of strength
and the scent of dispair has long been overtaken
by the clarity of being known for who I am.
I no longer play peek a boo with my truths.
Love comes to my soul and lips more often
because you have stepped inside
shut the door
and blocked that cold wind
from the light kissed shatterings of my will.
Broken pieces no longer scatter at the delight of mischief.
Warm my body with the furnace of your arms.
Warm my spirit with the love
that sings within your chest.
Sing me a song.
Take the catch in my voice and dance with it.
Read me a poem of love on the table of midnight
that hour when things appear most mysterious.
Long for me.
Let me be my heart and give me room to grow.
Let me rain on you
as you open your mouth to receive my joys.
I will love you
as I do love you.
And we will live in total understanding.
We will chop logs of life
to throw on the fire of our passion
an endless consuming gathering of flames
will light our need for each other.
We will love
as we now love...
all conditions cast aside.

Sometimes the heart needs the solace of solitude and silence.

*sigh*. This is indeed beautiful. Heavenly in its words and thoughts of pure love. You are both lucky indeed to have found each other, and this sings of that love, contentment and happiness. Lovely.

You write of love with such affection.
I enjoyed the gentle tenderness in
each and every word.

This was so pretty Temptress.

Absolutely beautiful. And the ending is as love should be:

as we now love...
all conditions cast aside'
