I said nothing, stood silently by
as she sauntered before my husband's eye
to get his attention with engaging smile
dishonoring my presence, all the while

And he, libido and ego intact
oblivious to feminine wars, infact
he claimed it all an innocent act
of friendship handled with the utmost tact

She smirked with gleam in eyes, "hello"
I fumed in silence, felt vertigo
sauntered away without a "know"
that death could come in just one blow

his claims of innocence, merely token
volcanic anger of truth unspoken
add to statistics another home broken
my pillows at night are now tear soakened

filthy lover, filthy spy
golden band trust, fake friend lies
I promise them both 'til the day I die
they'll never know who, but will know why...

Tiersdin,

I hope this is not a true to life written poem. If it is here's hoping that happiness will come your way again soon.

Wow ~ this really is powerfully expressed, it hit me hard!  I also hope that this isn't true to life for you
There's nothing more despicable than a friend who flirts with another's lover and for that lover to blindly succumb to such slyness!

Take care,
Melissa~

Nancy, Dawn, Sven, Melissa, and Magnus, Thank you all for reading and commenting on this poem.  There's really no truth in this work at all, so please... don't worry.

*hugs*

I was so glad to read that this is not true to life. It is a terrible pain for the women who do go through it and you have written of the anger and hurt extremely well. A magnificent piece of writing.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
