True Confession

So a few years after the fact she was willing to confess that while we were together she had done some things that contributed to this mess.
Heck I could have saved her all the trouble if only she would have listened to me way back then while it still mattered.
I can remember telling her almost those exact same words right from my mouth yes I really do and yet it had no effect upon her way of thinking because she fervently believed the whole world revolved around her and I was just a slave to make sure she was properly attended to.
And now that her words of apology sound more like words of regret I must confess I could care less.
For I knew that she was wrong way before she would accept the truth I already possessed and long before her conscience gave her the ability to confess.

Great expression, James! I guess we all have the ability to only see what we want to see about ourselves. Sometimes, by the time we are willing to accept and admit the truth, it may be too late. That's sad when that happens.

Sad revelation, James, but I enjoyed the form and very subtle internal rhyme.

Well done James.  Enjoyed the presentation as well as the thought behind the words.

Ain't it amazing how, long, long, after the fact, someone wants to come back and admit they were an idiot. Why do they bother? Oh yeah, usually to try to get you back. Glad you were over here and could tell her no thanks. Don't know about you, but that always gives me some satisfaction!!

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Thank you Denise, Mark, Nancy and Tracey for reading and responding.  I have ruined relationships myself by not facing up to the truth...if you sincerely want a relationship you work very hard to preserve it...James
