There was a woman,
And she searched for love.
She was most dilegent.
And looked most carefully.
But she could not find him.
She asked others,
" have you found love?"
Some had and were content
Others also searched
But said "love has fled.
He is not here".
So the woman searched the hills.
And she searched the valleys.
And in the streets and market places.
But love was not to be found.
And she sat by the road and she wept.
She wept because she could not find love.
And a stranger came to her and said
" I have looked for you everywhere "
And she took up her things.
And she followed him .

Arthur,

This is a very sweet poem. Loved the hopeful ending.

Good theme Arthur.

Death comes not when we cease to breathe, but when we cease to dream.

Michael, It is so true that when you aren't looking for love, it just pops up and hits you square in the heart.  Well done!

*sigh* how many tears would not fall if we could only be patient and let love come to us. *sigh* how very perfectly said is this poem.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

That is simply beautiful Arthur. An enchanting story indeed. I do so love a happy ending.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Yes I have noticed that sometimes love is not with the one we think it will be with...it is beyond our control...James
