When An Old Love Comes New

~*Marge Tindal*~

When an old love comes new
and smiles just for you
You realize while smiling through tears
that he wears the same eyes
you've dreamed of for years~

When an old love comes round
with laughter and song
singing classics he wrote
with notes that belong
to memories made before it was known
he was meant to sing them
for you all along~

When an old love burns new
in embers revived
touched by the breeze
on softly-felt sighs~

You know that the song is meant to be sung
in gentle notes of treasured renew
bringing raptured pleasure
to be shared by two~

~Bill, this one's for you.
Thanks for the beautiful inspiration~

Lovely Marge. Funny how someone from our past can bring back the old feelings again so easily.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Sigh, this is just how I felt 2 weeks ago, and oops-he didn't mean it. How can something so right go so wrong. I love this poem though, it speaks of such love and happiness.

When an old love happens my way
He only has one thing to say...
As his feet fly around the bend
I hear shouted "... worse now than then!"

I love this tender penning, Marge... just wish I knew the experience. *G*

Marge,

What an inspiration this is.
Absolutely beaitful from start
to finish. I can't pick a favorite line.
They are all wonderful.

Look into the eyes of a man and
you will find the soul of the woman
who loves him...

I like it - I've also learned that "old love" properly kept and nurtured, can indeed be "forever" love... Lovely words, dear Marge..
