Once upon a time..
Twenty-nine years ago
An Enchantress married a Wizard
She's my sister, so I should know.
Now, the Wizard he was lonely
Enchantress had lost her spark
But their meeting, it was magic
Love's light cast out the dark.
Their home it is a castle
Nestled on a quiet street
Where fairies plant the garden
Gnomes help to keep it neat.
You may shake your head and chuckle
But what I state is true
Piano plays while night flowers bloom
Stars come out as if on cue.
Their abode is such a mystical place
Children come to take a peek
At teddy bears picnicing on the lawn
While doves play hide and seek.
She pens words of love's allure
He waves a wand of trickery
Both help our troubles disappear
That's what magicians do you see.
My anniversary gift is this poem
Honouring their spellbound life
For Enchantress and her husband
The Wizard and his wife.

Tracey - Thanks for responding. Yes, the cat's out of the bag....Enchantress is my sister....although we have been kind of dropping hints.

CHRIS! Well this time you have really surprised me! No wonder you were tied up yesterday! For once I am totally at a loss for words. A thank you just doesn't seem adequate, as I can see you have woven almost every aspect of my life into this beautifully created piece of writing. I love you too!

What an enchanting poem! Nightshade, I was wondering about you two, thought there was a close connection. But lots of people say sister and brother without meaning it literally. This is such a beautiful tribute, and a chance for us to join in with our own
