The Other Half

We face blank canvas every day
With half already on display
But half is full of misty dream
Full of wild and reign supreme.

That is the half I take to bed
The other half to me is dead.
My horse awaits sir Galahad
Now I ask you, is that so bad?

And I ride through the countryside
My lance and I and favor tied.
To touch the mist within the Vail
Perhaps to search the Holy Grail

Each night to me a gift of reign
With soft and sweet and none of pain.
I fill this half with valleys green
With rage and love and every mean.

And if I stop and ask some wine
Would you refresh your cup and mine?

"Now I ask you, is that so bad?"

Certainly not......

Oh....such a beautiful piece full of dreams.
I am such a dreamer myself....dream of Camelot and haughty knights....

Thank you ..your poems are always a pleasure to read.

If you'll come through meadow green
and knock upon thy cottage door
I shall serve thee bread and cheese
and fair wines for thee I'll pour...

*sigh* Oh yes, a poem well deserving of all the honors that should be given to any knight who feeds the dreams of those in need. The wine would gladly be poured if the knight would stop by to rest from hard fought battles. *sigh* I love this kind of poem, therefore, I LOVE IT!!!

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

A wonderful poem filled with hope and wonderment, we can be very thankful for our dream time, filling our pages with mistery and our minds with beauty and fulfillment.
Loved the poem, very well done, look forward to reading more.

Sincerely
Rick

JM, now, no way would I ever stomp his grape,
until I saw if this knight was one hairy ape!
But should he have skin, soft and devine,
I'd invite him in and share more than wine!
Seymour - very nice poem but I couldn't resist this! lol

Dear Sy...How Camelot of you! I believe the outpour of those wishing to wine with you would overflow the sea. Beautifully penned.

Regina
