~*~ Some Other Day ~*~

She held the box in her hand today
from where she'd hidden it, tucked away;
Like a key, with lock undone
It brought memories one by one.
As she lifted the lid it began to play,
she needed memories of his love today.
'With this ring...' the preacher read
Promises given, vows were said.
Their time, his destiny was too short.
he had said, ’til 'Death Do Us part.
And now he lived within her heart.
A crystal tear fell from her eye,
missing him always made her cry.
So, she kissed the wedding ring
carefully tucking it back away
and locked up the memories
to save for some other day.

I like this poem, it really matches the emotions of the painting, which is awesome. Another new artist for me to check out...thanks, mysteria.

Maggie, standing with tears glistening in her eyes... and a lump in her throat... and an ache in her heart... applauding a work of soulful art. Bravo!

I think I will rename you, Matchmaker as you take a tune, and find a picture, then lend words to make us sigh...or cry...or feel as if you were our very own.  Well heck with that, you ARE our very own!

Thank you for this...it is more than lovely...

Sad, but so very beautiful.  I love your graphics that you put with most every post.
they help one see the image of the picture
within the words.  Your writing allows the
imagry to come out so well....you could do it
on most anything.

You write of the memories very well. We all have memories that we keep in a box and take out once in a while. Bring back the ghosts and relive the moment, if only for a short time.

Sharon~ A lovely presentation...the picture awakens the reader's curiosity, wondering why the girl has such a sad thoughtful look on her face, and your words bring it to life with meaning.  Very well done, as usual!

Hugs,
~Krista

Your beautiful words & creativity allow me to connect with the same in myself.
Thank you for having the courage to share yourself so that I can too

Gentle Spirit ~ I love to bring the art to life if I can, and I am glad you think I am doing it.  This means a lot to me and I thank you so much.

Tracey ~ That was the idea!  It was not necessarily a ring, it could be a memory, and for understanding I truly thank you.

Krista ~ I brought an image of something to life, what do you think she was thinking?  Hmm, makes one wonder doesn't it.  Thanks!

Lovely Mysteria. Very touching. My box would have to be huge to fit my memories in...I collect so many...I promised myself to always create memories. It saddens me to let anything go. I guess they'll have to build me a big box. As always you paint beautifully.

Sincerely,
Regina
