'Illusion Of Depth'

Look at this,
dim reflections
in pools of nonsense....

Maybe that's what gives them
the illusion of depth.

Still, be careful;
don't slip.
Don't knock yourself out.

When there's a drip

drip

drip

dripping tap
late into the night,
escape to the sea's embrace.

Dive in.

You do know how to swim?

Realize you won't touch bottom here.
Acknowledge that fear;
experience real life.

Only the dead float.

This is interesting.....one of those poems that can be applied to many things...(oh...and...there's a rather infamous saying about something else that floats--

)

Nice work here and quite an intriguing read.
