In a Dress (response to wayoutwalt) By Larry Chadwick So Halloween was finally here, Once again that time of year. To the party I wanted to go, I’d get to dress up, you know. For a boy of seven so much fun, I’d be a cowboy with a gun. Some things aren’t meant to be, It was all so very dastardly. My mother took complete control, As if at seven you have no soul. A dress and a mask she made me wear, What I thought, she didn’t really care. Underneath wearing just my briefs, I felt absolutely nothing but grief. My mom had to shove meout the door, While I protested just once more. I arrived feeling nothing but shame, For my costum really was lame. Then I tripped and fell on the floor, All the real girls let out a roar! |

 (sigh) Awwwww, I'm sorry about that. (sigh) At least you were adored by many of the neighbors and got a lot of trick-or-treats I believe! (sigh) Such an amazing memory indeed!
