Listening to every heart

Losing Ground

population lines
southern of northern walkings
feet craving plains swish

public never sees
Indian grasses glisten
calling back to me

undercurrents flow
vortexed thoughts impeding knowns
Hawk is southerly

homebound at dusking
creamy underfeathers brush
rush of worries pall

in silent sailing
black eyes feed on populace
unsuspecting needs

northern lands plighted
encroaching boundaries take
Redtail winging on

Deer’s hooves clicking sounds
‘Possum, ‘Coon and Fox fenced in
city’s not a home

once bountiful lands
tarring black Ground Squirrel’s nest
relinquishing roots

perceive grassland’s pulse
concrete won’t feed the Nations
give Hawk back its home

Karilea~
Spirits walking...

'perceive grassland’s pulse
concrete won’t feed the Nations
give Hawk back its home'

Whether anyone else wants to admit it or not,
the tears of the past ... fall on today~

Thank you gentle friend~
*Hugs* from my heart to yours~

(big hugggssssss) Oh Karilea, this is so so pretty! (smiles) I love Native American culture and nature, for part of my ancestry is Cherokee Indian; all the rest is Irish. (smiles) No fast-food restaurant or road will ever surpass the beauty and glory of this beautiful land! (big hugggssssss) BRAVO!!! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet sunshine, thank you for sharing!

may love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Naoh Eaton

Put a $100 bill on every acre ... although the beauty of nature is breathtaking and the inspiration of countless poets ... the power of the almighty buck glistens above all else, when the eye of the prophet scans the horizon

Well I think Rex said what I would "have liked to say", how true this is, and well said by you.
